Default limit poker=boring t.v.

Its just not fun to watch at all for the casual viewer, and I can't imagine it being more popular than N.L. I think that good poker players like the 2+2 community will enjoy shows like tonights WPT, but it definitely is a lot less exciting due to the lack of huge bluffs and decisions that cost you your entire stack.

You're probably right with regard to the casual viewer. As a primarily limit player, though, I enjoyed watching this event more than any other this year.

I disagree.

There is alot more action in limit tournament poker. And it is just as exciting, just in a different manner.

Tonight's show actually featured some great play. Lots of aggression and coming over the top. Like Mike Sexton said, the players tonight really put on a fine example of how to play limit hold em.

i thought it was a pretty good show.

last year's limit tourney won by lederer was pretty boring i thought. but this one was pretty good.

i also thought Sexton was trying to set the world record for most times saying 'E-Dog' in a single broadcast.

I thought it was a little more interesting than the allin fests most of the episodes of the wpt have been this year. Also one of the dealers used to deal at the first casino I ever played at, was very surprised to see that.

I definitely enjoyed this one. It was refreshingly free of those agonizingly stupid "hollywood" moments. And refreshingly free of stupid all-ins.

Mostly, it was a bunch of smart poker players who weren't afraid to play poker. Very fast action compared to all those NL games we've all seen. And, no one was having a good time, so all the stick-up-butts here won't have that to complain about.

Yes I agree with earlier poster that Mike was trying to squeeze the "E-Dog" nickname in at every opportunity. Also, how many people has he anointed the best poker player in the world. Let's see Greenstein, Brunson, Lederer, and at least 3 others if not 10. The show tonight was pretty decent though there is less of the huge over the top move there is a different kind of action. It's at least fun once a season maybe I would think.

he just banged a handful of chips on the table (which spilled a bit) and looked absolutely disgusted. i believe he had something like AJ on a QJ2 flop vs lederer's A4, and lederer ran fours to beat him.
