Re: Empire v. Paradise
[ QUOTE ]
Everyone knows Paradise is much tougher. [/ QUOTE ] That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Seriously, the software blows goats in more ways than I can count, and support seems to consist of a series of random replies to my e-mails. If you can get past all that, yes, the games are a little soft. I decided that playing on that software was EV- and got the hell out of Dodge as soon as my bonus cleared. |

Re: Empire v. Paradise
i have 55k hands logged at party/empire and about 35k at paradise(all at 3/6 and 5/10). I haven't run any #'s yet but i can say with a fair amount of certainty that party's/empires game have become rock gardens(still a lot of bad players though, more weak/tight) were as paradise has a lot more LAGs. These are my observations over the last 3 months.
A trend i noticed in the last 6 weeks is the paradise 5-10 game has become loaded with maniac's. If you have the roll i suggest giving it a shot |

Re: Empire v. Paradise
[ QUOTE ]
After I've played 10,000 hands at Empire I'm going to post a full review of the differences between the two sites, but for now I'll just say that if you've been under the impression that the Paradise games are tough compared to the Party network, you've been lied to systematially. [/ QUOTE ] I'd be willing to bet that their are good games at both sites. OTOH - I bet you can find some entirely rockish games at both sites. If you really want to write a worthwile review write something about the different techniques that you can use at each site to find the best games at any given time. Just writing a review comparing 10,000 hands at each site where (it seems that) you just sit down at a couple random tables and go isn't really giving you an accurate overview of the general looseness/tightness of the games at those sites. |

Re: Empire v. Paradise
All games on empire have been tough the past couple months. It's all about game selection. You can find good games, but you have to look long and hard!

Re: Empire v. Paradise
Do you see that all day long or is it just at night? Does pokerace work on paradise?

Re: Empire v. Paradise
Don't know about pokerace, but i would guess not. However, if your talking about the 5-10 maniac games at paradise, they have mostly been after 6pm on weekdays. However weekend and afternoon games are still looser than party/empire, just my opinion.
good luck |

Does pokerace work on paradise? [/ QUOTE ] It doesn't. You also have to wait ~3 years to get your HHs emailed to you from Paradise. |

Re: Empire v. Paradise
I've become pretty dependant on that data espescially since I, like most posters here, multi-table.
I heard the HHs were pretty slow and I've also heard the same thing about Absolute |

Table 1: 26.2, 13, 13.3, 12.3, 20, 18.9, 50. Wow. [/ QUOTE ] Am I the only one that thinks that is a good table? I play mostly 5/10, so I guess it's all relative. Still, it seems like you should do pretty well at a table like that (especially if they're as bad post flop as I remember 2/4 being). |

Re: Empire v. Paradise
I have spent my share of time playing the 2/4 games at Paradise lately and I would agree with you on the softness of their 2/4 games. This holds for most hours of the day, also.
IMHO, there are several reasons for the softness of the Paradise 2/4 games. Their software turns some people off and they just won't play there because of that. The hand history issue also turns away people. Those two reasons keep most multi-tabling TAGs away. And since Paradise hooked up with the Sportsbook.com, there are plenty of gamblers coming over from the sportsbook to play poker. The Empire/Party/Skins 2/4 games can be good, but they just require more work to find good games, so table selection is very important because of the much higher number of multi-tabling TAGs. Over time, most multi-tabling TAGs have moved there because of nice fish supply and the ability to easily get HHs for PT, etc. When you play there, keep in mind that sometimes it's worth sitting at a table with several TAGs if you can get 1-2 loose players to your right, as long as the TAGs are to your direct left. |
