Bet the pot on the flop in my opinion, an ace is more likely to give you action if you do.

For god's sake bet.

Secondarilly, if you are thinking about making a post in the future with "low" or "no" content, most likely you should just not make the post.

You have to get something more out of that. Bet the minimum on the flop and possibly all the way through. Just hope someone landed an ace or something and they want to make a stab at it. If they're going to fold anyway, you might as well bet somehing.

Seems like at the low buy-in games where I wallow (10s and 20s) people foolishly fear the flopped flush -- now THAT'S alliteration -- more than they should be willing to protect hands like top pair. Hell, I know that I'd lose this holding AK if you came out betting 'cuz I'd raise all-in.

But yeah, were I the OP I'd still bet the flop (perhaps 2/3xPOT) in the hopes that someone loose spiked a set, two pair, or a baby flush. Otherwise I doubt I'll get paid off.

Hope you got a screenshot!

I think you're just screwed. I'll take a pocket pair that spikes a set on the flop over a royal flush any day... not that it's an especially insightful comment.

They seem to fear it as lot more when its checked around, 'no one would bet the nuts on the flop' right?

Like I said, either way you're screwed, so I agreed with your advice to lead out at the flop in case a loose player with a hand is in. I apologize for being unclear.
