Default Obvious Call?

$10+1 HU

Hero is BB(T11300)
Villian is SB(T2200)

Blinds are 300/600
Hero is dealt 109o

Villian raises AI to 2200? Obvious call?

I only ask because its frustrating when this double up leads to another which leads to a loss.

I usually call in this situation but i don't consider myself a heads up champion.
I just hate giving him 900 chips for free and 9T is probably a coinflip.

I know the feeling though, it's a shitty situation.

Clear fold. Your hand is 10-high...do you think you start with the best of it? You don't need to win this match on this hand. Be patient.

900 in the pot and 1600 to go. Doesn't seem obvious to me. I'm guessing you're somewhere between 2:3 and 1:2 to win assuming he's not pushing with any two. I'd personally just fold and push HIM all-in the next hand and take my blind back. The odds of him folding/the odds of your random hand sucking out if he calls seem much more compelling. Then you can continue trying to rob him to the felt.

But then again I suck and since I've been learning from YOUR posts I'm guessing my thinking is incorrect.

Thanks to both of you, guess I have to take in to some consideration that despite having only 4 blinds left & close to proper odds to call, that any double up will put him back in to contention for sure.

You may be right that folding is the right call, but I would put villain on any two.
After posting, he has less than 3BB left (or less than 4BB if the stacks is post blinds).
He's not waiting for the perfect hand. He's gotta gambool.

Nah, I like the response, solid reasoning, it could go either way. I figured I was a 55/45 dog so I thought I had the odds to call. It didn't help that I ended up with a 3 outer, but that's beside the point. I guess I have to take in to some account that I'm not always just a slight underdog. How can I figure out how often he will be dealt a hand that is better than 60/40 for him.

Right, I put him on any 2 here, need to figure out how often he will be dealt something better than 60/40 & take that in to account perhaps?
