Red Dragon rocked as did 25th hour. You schmucks.

[/ QUOTE ]

agreed..can't believe the lack of love for 25th hour. I guess most people only like fast paced movies with non stop action. 25th Hour is character driven, rather than plot driven...most movies are the opposite.

Awesome, best movie ever (maybe).

[/ QUOTE ]

It's funny, because I know at least a little bit about movies, and I thought "Oh, yeah--heartthrob Brad Pitt gets an excuse to take his shirt off and David Fincher gets a chance to pretend he's a spooky guy, etc."

Hey, I can be wrong. Everyone was great. It really is a GREAT movie, which is saying something, I think.

red dragon rocked if you liked actors doing caricatures of themselves. the only ham factor is was lacking was the presence of, say, rod stewart.

How the [censored] does a post called "Rounders 2" get 1000+ views on a site of educated poker players?

Default 25th Hour.

[ QUOTE ]
25th Hour was awful, and merely sounded the final bell for all those who used to think Spike Lee was still a worthwhile director. It's insanely heavy-handed, maudlin, and incredible.

Awful dreck, poorly written, badly performed, stupidly conceived, and tastelessly solicitous.

Other than that, I liked it a lot.

[/ QUOTE ]

I thought it was a fantastic movie, as did Mr. Ebert.

Has anyone ever seen Happiness?

Yes, and it is a very good movie.

The timing was a little off, as it was the second in the quick duo of soft-pedophile movies which included it and American Beauty, a film I thought inferior to the former, and, I thought over-ballyhooed.

Yeah, agreed. Happiness was superbly twisted. When American Beauty came out everyone was wetting themselves over it, and I went and saw it and thought it was really great. Then I watched it a few more times and there's some really sacharine crap in that steaming pile. Liked seeing what's-her-names ta-tas though.
