The 25th Hour sucked, too.

Re: Am I the only 2+2\'er under 30 to never see Rounders?
25th Hour was awful, and merely sounded the final bell for all those who used to think Spike Lee was still a worthwhile director. It's insanely heavy-handed, maudlin, and incredible.
Awful dreck, poorly written, badly performed, stupidly conceived, and tastelessly solicitous. Other than that, I liked it a lot. |

Re: Am I the only 2+2\'er under 30 to never see Rounders?
Keeping the Faith, was funny as hell.
The Score wasn't bad at all, quite enjoyable Death to Smoochy was okay, not great Rounders is a good movie, and because it's a somewhat realistic poker movie, I bought it. Wow I guess I like pretty much all the Ed Norton movies I've seen. But the same can be said for Matt Damon, except for stuck on you. |

the response was given after the assertion that he was great in everything he does. whether or not one likes those movies, i doubt anybody can objectively say that his acting was worth remembering in any of those roles.

Yea, I guess I should read the entire thread before posting, lol.
However, his role in The Score I think was played very well. He played the part of the slightly handicapped stuttering kid to perfection. O--Ok--Okay Danny--o--ok |

Ever see "Primal Fear"? Ed Norton was outstanding in that movie.

Re: Rounders 2?
In the opening scene Mike D is at the $300-$600 game at the Bellagio and cleaning up, until he takes a 2-outer beat from JoeyBitch, but Worm comes out of nowhere to 'get delicate' with Joey B and get Mike's money back....

Good point
You're right. He deserves an Oscar for that miserable scene where he's talking to himself in the mirror.
I thought he was playing his character from American History X, a clearly flawed, yet vastly superior film. So, yes--I loved 25th Hour, now that you mention it. |
