Default Should the C.I.A. Have Fewer Restrictions?

I saw Bush senior speaking a little bit on t.v. this morning. Caption at the botton of the screen said he's pushing for fewer restrictions on the Central Intelligence Agency(to make their job easier in light of the recent attack I assume).

I'm not sure how I feel about this. And I'm wondering what they (the C.I.A.) will be wanting exactly.

I don't trust them. The fact that I just publicly stated that I don't trust them would be sufficient motive for them to initiate opening and maintaining a dossier upon me (as if the FBI hasn't already done so) if they had internal authority. Keeping the State Security Apparatus outside of our borders was one of Truman's (few) great wisdoms. Letting them in to monitor terrorists would be admitting the nose of the camel.
