Re: OT: Best pizza places in Vegas?
Give it a shot. Like I said, its a Chicago place, so its not exactly what you think of as NY Style. It is, however, thin crust with superior toppings. I think you'll like it, even if they do cut it into little squares instead of big triangles.
Aurelio's # is 702-456-3900. (Got it programmed into my cell - we preorder and go there for lunch once a week). |

Re: OT: Best pizza places in Vegas?
LoL...We moved here from Houston last May and have yet to find anything close to good Mexican food here...It's probably the ONLY thing I miss about Houston
If you open it here, they will come... |

[ QUOTE ] Has to be New York style - among true pizza fanatics - Chicago pizza can never be classified as best. Good or acceptable is the hightest classification a Chicago pizza can ever attain!! [/ QUOTE ] Call me crazy, but this New Yorker enjoys a deep dish pie every now and again... I used to believe that until I went to Zachary's in Berkeley, CA of all places. Zach's is magic. Long answer: The two brothers who opened it had a falling out. Part of the colatteral damage was that the brother who kept the franchise license moved to the new Eastern/Horizon Ridge location and re-opened. The good news is that he is doing well, as he just expanded and added in a dining room. |

Re: OT: Best pizza places in Vegas?
Verazzano's is outstanding IMO. They have several locations.
As for Mexican, the best is Coyote's on Sunset Road. LGEG (look good, eat good) Babe [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] |

[/ QUOTE ] this is a riduclous statement. just because they call a 16" pizza a medium instead of an XL, doesn't make the pizza good. there has been absolutely nothing special about any ny pizza i've ever had, besides the fact that the slices are huge. there are a number of places in chicago, that do fabulous things to their crusts, and use fantastic quality toppings. |
