Default Not stealing the shortstack\'s blind

3-4 handed, when the blinds are like 100-200 and the shortstack has like 500 left, I tend to fold on the button with something less that Q-10. My reasoning is that he will definitely call, and I don't wanna give this guy a chance to double up. I do this even when I have a sick chip lead. Is this the correct strategy?

Not only is it correct, but it is advantageous if you are Big Stack. Have you ever met Mr. Small Stack Hanger-Onner Guy?

No problem. Someone at work gave me a CD with about 50 of them on there.

Your intuition is correct. In fact, if you're the boss stack, you might consider folding even if you have a decent hand. It's advantageous to the boss stack to have the micro stack stick around as long as possible, so the big stack can continue to bully the others at the table.

great point. use the fact that the medium stacks don't want to showdown with you and finish OTM to let the small stack hang around.
