FWIW, I play every hand you call "marginal," and also A8s, KTs, and QTs in the proper situation. 66 and lower pairs sometimes as well.

In my opinion if your not able to find value from AJo and KQo in early position, you should be finding better tables, or maybe finding the appropriate limit such that you are confident enough in your post-flop play to include these hands. I raise both of them UTG.

I also raise ATs, 88 (about 75% of the time), and KJs UTG, though I doubt any of those matter that much at all so long as you don't fold them.

Cool. I'm not the only one. Here I thought I was being too loose.

mostly 10/20

I raise: 77-AA, A9s-AKs (sometimes A8s), AJo-AKo, KJs-KQs, KQo

I call (very table dependent): 22-66, JTs, QTs, KTs, T9s
all of my calling hands can turn to folds if the table is bad though in which case I look for a new table. Also if it isn't 10 handed I usually fold 22-44.

I agree with this range but after a lot of analysis and discussion here on 2+2, I've come to agree that 77 & 88 are limps UTG rather than raises.

Ok every body seems to have forgotten the table conditions when deciding what to play up front, JTs is sometimes playable and sometimes KQo is an easy muck, it all depends on the people behind you wether they are good, bad, loose, aggressive extra, i mean i played in a live game today where 78s was an easy call up front.

I limp JTs UTG. Are you sure this is wrong?

[/ QUOTE ]

Nope.

[/ QUOTE ]

I could swear SSHE says this is okay...

[/ QUOTE ]

Okay, I'm going to have to respectfully disagree, because both SSHE and HPFAP say JTs is fine to limp UTG.

[/ QUOTE ]

SSHE is assuming that at least 3-4 people are seeing the flop if not more.

Why are you raising A8-A9s? Don't you want others to join in with these hands? Also, don't you lose image when you begin to play these hands UTG and show them down? What is your VPIP? I went from a 22% VPIP and recently tightened it up to about a 16% and it's been more profitable but perhaps I suck postflop or I don't have enough data...

I'm sure I suck but that's why I'm here

No, this was for loose and tight tables in both SSHE and HPFAP. I'll concede that I don't remember what their definitions of "loose" or "tight" is, so maybe you're right.

you might consider limping 99 from early position in that game and raise TT+.
limp KQo unless you raise it. I like raising KQs.
also limp AJo and any weak suited broadway.
