$70 for a 200GB maxtor hard drive sure seems like a sweet deal to me.

I bought a Maxtor 200 GB external HD and had to return it about 1 week afterward. I kept getting errors on my computer. My PC is only one year old, too so it's pretty up to date. Anyway, it kept saying "error delayed write failed". I never could fix it so I returned it and got a 120 GB Western Digital. I think it had something to do with the fact that it was a 200 GB hard drive but I'm still unsure. Anyway, make sure you have a controller card in your PC that can handle 200 GB harddrive. I kind of hate Maxtor externals anyway. Haven't had any problem with my WD HD .

Good point about the controller card. I already have one of these drives, with the card so I am in good shape.

Its funny I hear a lot of bad stories about Maxtor but every Maxtor drive I've had has worked great without any problems.
