It is cheaper with the standard config, but the outlet one is not standard. It has better cpu and more ram, biggest chosable hard drive and so on. Also a 16x dvd burner with dual layer support.

I tried to customize one of those myself now, everyting like the used one, but all things that you might not need removed. $648 was the cheapest I found when I did it quick. Essential parts only, nothing "extra".

*update*

$488 now with following parts:
Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor (2.80GHz, 533 FSB)
Microsoft® Windows® XP Home Edition
512MB Dual Channel DDR SDRAM at 400MHz
80GB Ultra ATA/100 7200RPM Hard Drive
Single Drive: 16X DVD-ROM Drive

Everything else is none/cheapest availible option. So what do you want, a new one without dvd burner and smaller hard drive or a used with bigger hard drive and dvd burner and some not so necessary extras? Up to you. Both are good enough for some internet poker and web surfing that is for sure.
