Default Bad Call?

$40 satellite at Bicycle Casino. Winner gets $300 in tourney chips and $30 in cash. Opponent on my right and very aggressive -- has been raising lots of hands the whole hour, forcing me to muck hands I might have raised/limped, and has not really gotten caught in a bluff. Had mostly above average cards with most raises.

We are heads up. I have 1300, opponent has 1700. Blinds 100/200, my button/SB.

I have: Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I raise to 500. Opponent re-raises all-in. I call my last 800, figuring I am an underdog to an ace going in. What do you think of that call?

Results below in white:

Default Re: Bad Call?

this, in my opinion, is an easy laydown. i think you should have min raised it and if he put you all in fold. and even with your 300 raise, i still think you should have folded with his all in. QJ is not that good of a hand in the first place. the only good thing about raising with it is that if you are reraised, you should be able to get away from it easily. there are just way too many hands that dominate you here.

hope this helps,

craig
