Default 2nd Hand of a 10+1 Sit N\' Go

Hero is in BB, and is dealt A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Second hand of tournament, blinds are still 10-15. Too early in tournament for a read on anybody.
4 callers preflop, no raisers, so hero makes it $75 to go.

3 fold, 1 calls.

Flop:
8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Hero bets out $80, other guy pushes all-in. What should hero do?

Click the 'call' button. Click it again just in case I missed, or something.

Can't imagine a situation in which I wouldn't call this.

How'd it turn out for you?

Eat a sandwich. Call. Curse out your father for 'loving you' when you were in grade school. Make sure you clicked call. Watch Villain suck out for a flush. Look in mirror and see the look on your face--"I just pumped the neigbor's dog."

Hero called, suspecting a flush draw. Hero was wrong, though.
Guy turned over a 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. A straight draw. Even better! Of course, until he rivered a 9.

I was pretty confident in the call, but finishing 10th place in a $10+1 does sting the ego. Only mistake I could think of was not raising enough preflop with all those callers. Perhaps a huge (maybe 250 chips or so) raise preflop would've been smarter. Or maybe that's just hindsight talking.

No, that's hindsight talking. Preflop was fine.

Maybe bet more on the flop. But this is a stupid easy call.

Yeah raise 800 next time so everyone folds. Won't finish 10th next time.

(Sarcasm)

Many new member's first posts were bad beats. Don't feel bad about 10th. Better than 4th! Time is money.
