Default Computer Help Please

I turned on my computer today and everything is oversize; icons, text, the page that I'm writing on right now, etc..

Can you help me out? I've got windows 98.

Thanks

Go to your desktop and right click the mouse. Click on Properties. This takes you to display properties. Click on Settings. Adjust the screen area to a bigger number. Good luck.

Just a thought...is your computer in Safe Mode?

It would say that in the four corners. If so then try rebooting.

For future reference, where do I find the "four corners"?

I meant the four corners of your computer monitor. Whenever my computer boots up in Safe Mode(usually when it isnt shut down properly)all the Icons etc are larger. I am sure one of the more computer literate folks here could tell us why this is the case.

You're right, my computer froze-up before I went to sleep last night, so I shut it off improperly. When I woke up, there was the problem.

Buy a bigger monitor. Everything will look smaller or maybe buy a smaller monitor and everything will shrink. Good advice, huh?
