You can't catch a bat with a blanket. You need a mop and a broom.

Most bats are not endangered. However, like 90% of them are rabid so don't [censored] with them.

You definitely need to take appropriate precautions, but nowhere near 90% of bats are rabid.

Yea. I just threw a number out there, but the % is VERY high. I'm sure it has to do with the kind of bat and what area you live in too.

I've had one in my house before.

I grabbed it with a pillowcase, opened it in the porch, and let my cat kill it.

[/ QUOTE ]they might not be rabid, but they are definitely dirty. We don't have bats in many locations up here, but we do have a lot of dirty pigeons and crows. I wouldn't want to touch one of those either.

My avatar is a bat that was entertaining my cat in the kitchen. I managed to grab it before the cat did. Silly buggers.

So that's what that [censored][/b]in' thing is.

You need to make sure your dogs rabies shots are up to date IMMEDIATELY. You should also consider consulting a physician yourself because Bats are dirty, rabid, little filth-mongers. If there is anychance the Bat got its saliva on you consult a doctor. If the Bat is roaming around your house something may not be right with it, and that something may be a case of rabies. Be safe and take the proper precautions.
