[ QUOTE ] Can I get an offline, media player only kinda deal? [/ QUOTE ] yes [/ QUOTE ] How? I just Dl'd the software and its got the Whole Itunes network integrated. My issue with this (and with the new Napster) is whether or not they do/can monitor the music I have in my Itunes/Napster folder (as in a ton of older, pirated files). Anyone have an opinion on this? |

Um...they won't. Besides, there's no difference between an MP3 you ripped off a CD you own and one you dl'd.
EDIT: If you're really this concerned, you can just get ZoneAlarm or some other firewall and have it block iTunes from accessing the internet. |

Well, thanks for all the advice guys. I tried WinAmp, and Itunes and in the end they both made me realize how good WMP is . I guess it's really just what you are comfortable with.

The whole point of winamp is that it is small and slick and only occupies a small part of the computer screen. Also, if you're into visualizations winamp kick WMP's ass any day. And it's not close.

Re: What Media player do you use for music and why?
I use winamp 2.9, which is, naturally, the last version of winamp that came out before they made the major update to version 3 and sort of redid the whole program.
All winamp of version 3 or later have had a significantly slower interface and whatnot, all in order to implement new features that I never use. |
