Standard Deviation Question
I just calculated my standard deviation over the last 87 sessions. I've never done this before and am not sure that I did it accurately. I play 9/18 HE, made 1.87 BB/hour for 87 sessions, 650 hours total - SD of 705. This seems high to me, but I don't really know, maybe it's accurate. If anyone is willing to take a look at my spreadsheet and check my numbers, please let me know - I can email it to you. Also, if you think this number is reasonable or unreasonable, please feel free to let me know what the reasonable range is. Thanks, soda |

Re: Standard Deviation Question
soda, Your number seems high, It should probably be between 7 and 15 big bets an hour depending on how wild the game you play in is, and how volatile a player you are. Good luck, Play well, Bob T. |

That\'s probably your session standard deviation.
You need to use Mason's formula to compute hourly SD. |

Re: Standard Deviation Question
You can download my excel spreadsheet. It will calculate your hourly rate and s.d. using Mason's formula. It does this both in terms of big bets as well as dollars. |
