2) We played 2-7 triple-draw lowball and, after listening to the rules four times, I managed to bet and called a raise with 7-6-5-4-3 at the end. When my Underscored opponent, who apparently realized he was dealing with an idiot, raised, and I called, he sheepishly said, "You got me, just a jack." I triumphantly laid down my straight, thinking I had a 7-low. Snakehead perceptively said, "You're screwed," Josh asked me if I put him on a full house, and some Sucker said, "nice call."

I laughed so hard I cried.... Andy I always love your posts.

Fossilman made a great post about this game in the recent past (few months ago). Search is your friend.

Uhhh......Greg & I have talked extensively about the game.

What I was looking for was somewhere where I can find a published set of rules....

Just googled and found this:

-The OP thinks padugi is a stupid game.

-He lost a $100 bet to a Justin-something in a most unentertaining way.

I, for one, truly enjoyed his post.

Also, Cliff Notes acts as a summary, not as a critic.

[/ QUOTE ]

he's not the original gimmick account. the original is "tl;dr" with the cliff's avatar.

Why not just go to the online poker rooms where you can play Badugi to get the rules? Doyles Room

My unforgivable mistake (forgetting that an ace is a bad card for low) was made for the second time in two plays so it's really worse.

3) We were playing some hold 'em type game and I made the nut flush on the turn. I showed everyone what I had. Still, I got two callers. I then checked the river (I still had the nuts), Josh, good player that he is, folded his set, and Rick N. now bets. I just call. Rick turns over the second nut flush, expecting to win since I didn't raise. Apparently he was brushing his teeth when I showed my cards on the turn. The group was undecided about whether his bet was worse than my flat call. I felt guilty enough about taking his money, but not enough to give it back.

[/ QUOTE ]

It was dark and I think I was looking at the other caller when you flashed. Plus my vision AND judgment is deteriorating, and it was never very good in the first place.

[ QUOTE ]
And then Rick was nice enough to escort me to the street when I left, since he knew my chances of finding it, in my condition, were slight. What a guy.

[/ QUOTE ]

Maybe I was going to try to borrow money but chickened out.
