Stop-and-Go with AQ

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (5 handed) converter

SB (t1896)
Hero (t2015)
UTG (t1900)
MP (t2839)
Button (t4850)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
3 folds, SB completes, Hero raises to t600, SB calls t400.

Flop: (t1200) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets t1415 (All-In),

Was this a good place to use a stop and go, or should I have just gone all-in preflop? No reads on players, I'm 4 tabling.

Ouch... this is a hard one... too many difficult decisions to make.... let's avoid those and push it preflop

I like a push preflop. There are 400 chips waiting to be had and your hand is probably best. You also get to see all five cards if he calls this way.

I'm not sure if this really qualifies as a stop-n-go, I thought that applied to situations where you're first to act on the flop. But regardless, as it played out, his check says that you definitely should push this flop.

I'm not sure I agree with the other posters about pushing preflop though. The SB limping in means he doesnt have a good hand, else he probably would have raised your blind. If you push, you'll rarely ever get called, but if you raise it to 500-600, you will get called more, and you can play the likely best hand for a more valuable pot, which at this point in the tourney will greatly help your efforts at getting ITM, especially if you can knock him out.

Two obvious benefits of pushing pre-flop:

1) You most likely take down the pot without any resistance.

2) You are more likely to get a walk in the BB the next time that it is folded to the SB.

Easy push pre-flop.

I push preflop, but I think you gotta push after he checks to you.

Do you have *any* idea what a stop n go actually is?!?!?!

Why aren't you pushing preflop? The only one in this hand that can stop n go is your opponent since you only raised to t600...in fact, this move would have completely jacked you b/c then you're faced with a very difficult flop decision.

Ugh. You should stop 4 tabling until you have some idea of what's going on.
