High Stakes Holdem in Vegas
I'm going to vegas and am looking to play higer limit holdem (above 30-60 but not 1000-2000 or anything like that). I know the bellagio has an 80-160 game that goes regularly. do that have any other games in that neighborhood? 100-200 or 200-400? how about the mirage?

[/ QUOTE ] Many people think the downtown scene was busy largely due to the WSOP, and now that it's over, things will slow down. I personally don't think it'll be dead, just not quite as busy as before. There will still be plenty of visitors who want to play downtown. The higher limit stuff will probably die down a lot, though. Then again, I live 1700 miles away, so this is a total guess.

[/ QUOTE ] I'm just curious b/c I think the Nugget room has a load of potential. I know Dynasty is a local and knows alot more about the local scene in Vegas than I do for sure and it seems he's pretty sure that the Nugget has no way of breaking into the High Stakes market that the Bellagio has owned as of late and I'm just wondering why that would be so? Location? Tradition? Management? Or something else?

The primary reason is that the Nugget is in downtown Las Vegas. The vast majority of tourists come to Las Vegas to stay and play on the Strip.
Binion's Horshoe (in downtown) rarely has games bigger than 10-20 except during the WSOP. There's little reason to believe another downtown casino would do better.
