Details have been changed to protect my short term memory:
So several years ago i had several roomates. One of whom had a 2-footer and a day job. The other three had no job, and no piece. So on a daily basis the three would roll into the One's room and smoke as much or as little from the two footer as their hearts desired. Each and every night the good One would come home, and ever so kindly clean out his piece for the Three. At the end of his cleaning he would take his little ball of resin, and smoke it. I swear the entire sumer he probably smoked an eigth of actual pot, and still got high every day.

resin is like that unattractive girl sitting at the bar at 1:59am. If you've got no other option and you really need to bust a nut, go for it.
You can also liken it to [censored] a fat chick. most of the time its like "why the hell would I do that??" but on a rare occasion it's kinda fun.

Resin is good if handled properly.
One option: roll a j and put it in the tube of one of those small metal pipes(they unscrew.) Let that soak up resin for a week or so. Take it out, roll with a new paper, enjoy.

Resin itself, or an abundance of resin glands, is not a good indictator of potency. A mj variety may have copious amounts of resin and still be nearly worthless for smoking; another variety may have little apparent resin, but it may be super-potent. This is because much of the resin is made up of inactive ingredients, and the resin might contain mostly inactive cannaboids. Also, the active cannaboids (THC,THCV, etc.) are only necessary in amounts small enough that they may not be major components in the resin. Surprisingly, the few scientific studies that have compared the concentration of resin glands or resin to potency have found that the concentration of resin glands was negatively correlated with the potency (in other words, the fact that a variety of mj is resinous or has a lot of resin glands has little to do with its potency) Experience connoissers actually may look for a non-resinous but very potent variety - who need cough inducing resin if it doesn't add to the high?
