Default internet explorer adress drop down list

I use a combination of IE and mozilla.

I had a virus the other day after running a scan and i got rid of it using the instructions.

Now today, my IE dropdown list in the address bar erased all of the previous entries. The history is still there though. Could this be virus related?

How do you even clear that bar if you wanted to?

Thanks

I know of 3 ways to do this.

1) Control Panel | Internet Options | General Tab | Clear History
2) Start | Right-Click | Properties | Start Menu Tab | Classic Start Menu | Customize | Clear
3) registry: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs
