I don't understand why you raise here. Sure you can sometimes pick up the 40 chips but I would prefer flopping well and gain more chips.

As the action went, you have to fold unless you have some great read on BB.

I'm not too excited about JJ in EP L1....limp, call a 2-3x PFr, play it for set/overpair on the board. Here, with your 5+x raise? I'm folding. Probably folding as often to 99 or the like as QQ, or AK. I'm not risking it all this early on the chance it's a coin toss (a PF limp makes it less painfull to get off the hand).

Limp preflop. Since you raised, fold to the all-in reraise unless you have a read.

Alright thanks I did end up folding but felt like I might have been to tight.

I've sat out all the JJ threads recently but now the advice to limp them has made its way into the threads where it's played properly, so it's time to stop it now.

This hand was played OK, including the raise (although I'd make it 60) and to limp PF with it is bad. Period.

(always looking for advice.......)

Let's say I take you up on the 4x PFr.....

1) someone behind min-reraises PF
- call I'm assuming?
flop comes T74r.....you lead out? probe? pot? check/fold...????

2) Button calls, BB calls
- flop comes Q42o BB checks.......lead out? check/fold?
- flop comes T74r BB checks....????

....a ton of permutations granted, but assuming you are forced to act out of position, how far do you carry your hand as an overpair, or facing an overcard -- with resistance from behind on both?

Just curious. How much do you raisers make per hand with JJ level 1 on average?

I make 0.85 BB. Have no idea if it is good or crap. Can't remember if I have hit my fair share of sets either since it is 2500 SnGs or so.

Min-reraises are generally a big weak point of mine but I'd be going by Prophecy numbers at that point and check/folding a lot.

Otherwise, if you flop an overpair, play it like QQ. If you flop Qxx, make your continuation bet. If you flop Axx or Kxx 3 way, get out, etc.

I only have 35K hands in PT for the last six months so I'm calling the sample size fairy, but that's about where mine is for both levels 1 and 2 (0.8x).
