Best Online Credit Check?

It looks like there are a billion different ones to choose from, anyone have a recommendation?

Also I'm the person getting their credit checked, so if it could be a little on the checkee friendly side that'd be nice.

Equifax is only one of three major credit reporting agencys, experion and trans union being the other two. You will want to know where you stand with each one. Starting this year the FTC is making these agencys give you access to your reports for free once a year. It is being implemented over the course of this year by region. You can go here https://www.annualcreditreport.com to see if you can get your free reports yet.

Actual credit reports are hard to decipher though. When someone pulls your credit they are going to get your fico score. It is determined by a formula using info from your reports. You will have a fico score for each agency. The only place you can your actual fico score is from www.myfico.com. They are about $10 a piece, but look around the internet for coupons to knock a few bucks off.

Thanks for all that info. Sounds like I should just ask my future landlord where he wants it from.

when you get your credit report from equifax it also shows you what the other 2 agencies have to say about you.
