The whole point of winamp is that it is small and slick and only occupies a small part of the computer screen. Also, if you're into visualizations winamp kick WMP's ass any day. And it's not close. [/ QUOTE ] I tried an older version of winamp. It was so small I couldn't read the titles of my songs ~ Rick |

i really like "QCD player" its very slick. you can find it at download.com [/ QUOTE ] I just switched to this one...its called Quintessential, and with my headphones, I get the loudest and most undistorted sounds using it. The browse and playlist making on I tunes are better though. |

Re: What Media player do you use for music and why?
[ QUOTE ]
I have always used Windows Media Player. I am able to make large playlists easily and I like the visualizations. Anyone else use something they recommend? [/ QUOTE ] I started using Musicmatch Jukebox years ago and paid the $20 for the full version. I liked the improvements over the years until the last few versions, which is essentially a resource hog and bloatware. Luckily I kept a copy of version 7.5 in my downloads folder and am using that. ~ Rick |

Winamp is still amazing. |

Re: What Media player do you use for music and why?
I use iTunes and I'm quite fond of the utility of the browsing and composition of playlists. However, I find exporting playlists to .m3u to be rather impossible as I would like to put this playlists on my mp3 player that isn't and iPod. Does anyone have a solution to this?

I like iTunes because I can play a CD in order, and not just all the songs in alphabetical order.

no one addressed this, but you are running IE over Mozilla. this isn't a matter of preference, one is better than the other.
