Beating microlimit Omaha High-Low???
Hey folks,
At the moment I'm only able to play Holdem and I decided to learn another game. Stud isnt the right thing because im too lazy to remember the exposed cards, so I now try to learn Omaha. I know I should buy some Omaha-Books, but since i spent a fair amount of money on Holdem Books and I'm still stuck in the microlimits, I decided I would like to win 30$ at Omaha first and then start studying. So I need some general guidelines that would help me to beat the 0.25/0.50 Omaha High-Low Games at Stars. 1) Which Preflop Hands should I play??? Some site said: Group 1 Hands: Play in any position for any number of raises: AA23 AA2x AA3x A23x A2KK A2QQ A345 A346 A356 A2KJ 23QQ 23KK A3KK A3QQ A2KQ Group 2 Hands: Play for a single raise in all positions, fold multiple raises in early position: A2xx 234x AKQJ KQJT KQJ9 AKQT KKJJ KK24 QJT9 AAxx KKQQ A3xx KKTT 2) What are the odds of a "4-low" on the flop hititng the next card? |

Re: Beating microlimit Omaha High-Low???
hi best advice i can give u is go to either pacific,party/empire,vc, usually wont find a 25-50 but play in the 50-1 its much easier than what u will see at stars. If u must play 25-50 go to absolute they usually have a game going. All your group 1 hands u should raise preflop on these tables.
Omaha is all about hand selection preflop but postflop play is something u will need to learn with experience.Odds of hitting a low wiht 4 to a low all depends on what low cards are in your hand and which on board but roughly anywhere from 55-70% im too lazy to open my book so thats all u get. |

Just search for and read every one of Buzz's posts to this forum. You'll be glad you did. No offense to the other excellent posters who frequent OPG--you can read them after you finish reading Buzz.
