Default Computer Recommendation

I am in the market for a cheap PC.

I want the PC for poker (FIRST AND FOREMOST), and later some word processing / Internet porn.

My concerns are primarily cost and secondary is that I have to get it delievered. No car.

So, with those requirements, what kind of PC's do you recommend?

Also, at what point does multitabling dictate additional hardware? I mean, can I multitable 2 tables with a cheap Dell, 4 tables, 8 tables?

Finally, I plan to purcahse this comp in about a month with a 500$ or so budget, but Id prefer to spend less.

Yup, cheap Dell. You can't buy a PC that isn't good enough for these requirements. Search for threads about monitors here and in the "Internet Gambling" forum if you want to 4/8-table without overlap.

try to find a used computer locally via craigslist.org. It won't be more than $200 if you find it. just have a nerdy friend show you how to format the machine w/ a fresh copy of Windows XP. It costs around $100 USD?

You could go with an Emachines AMD Athlon. You can get one for under $500. Try Emachines website. They probably deliver. I have an Emachines and it's plenty good enough for multi-tabling. Just make sure your monitor is capable of 1600 x 1200 resolution. That's all you need for multi-tabling.
