"Bad Boys II"

How can this not be gay porn?

It pretty much was two hours of Will smith & Martin Laurence jerking off.

Are you talking about "The Girl, the Gold Watch, and Everything"?

[/ QUOTE ]

I loved that movie when I was a kid. What was the sequel? Something with dynamite?

[/ QUOTE ]

It's a good title, too.

The funny thing is, half the titles here are actually GOOD titles. Not just indifferent or less than ideal -- but actually good.

People just don't like the movie or the star or the subject sometimes and ascribe it to the title.

Ok, some of the titles here are good. But I'm going to defend my choice for Worst Ever: "The Girl, The Gold Watch, and Everything" ???? C'mon!

- Titles that list things are generally bad (this includes album titles). It's like the creator just couldn't decide what was more important or more catchy. I've sat in rooms where producers were arguing/working on titles, and used a list as a lame compromise between opposing ideas.

- Starting the title with "The Girl" is particularly weak. Everyone knows that screenplays have to include "The Girl" when she is not the main character: it is such a basic tenet of scripts that it has been a joke in sketches.

- "Gold" is a pathetic attempt at alliteration and visual imagery. This is third grade poetry at best.

- "Everything" just caps it. Note that this movie was NOT a spoof whereby including "Everything" in the title might a funny over-the-top joke.

I suppose it is a good title in that it is sooooo bad, if that's what you mean. But I don't think that's what you mean.

"Face/Off" and "The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" are actually very CLEVER movie titles, IMHO.

My least favorite movie titles: "Beaches" and "Fried Green Tomatoes". Because when my wife says, "Let's watch, 'Beaches,'" or, "Hey honey, let's watch 'Fried Green Tomatoes,'" I get sick to my stomach.
