DR. BLUMQUIST
Now, there are four states of being in the cannabis, or marijuana, society: Cool, Groovy, Hip, and Square. The square is seldom if ever cool. He is not "with it," that is, he doesn't know "what's happening." But if he manages to figure it out, he moves up a notch to "hip." |

Re: YES! I ran the [censored] out of a red light and got busted cold
[ QUOTE ]
There was no danger to others. I could see in both directions. I drive extremely agressively, but safer than all gradnmothers. There are better people to worry about I, but you may have flipped me off once or twice. [/ QUOTE ] Nope you sound exactly like the person I should be worried about. The delusion ones who think they are the good drivers and that everyone else is bad. Numerous studies have shown that these people way overestimate thier driving skills and have an incredible ability to shift blame for accidents to others despite the fact that they get in them far more often than other people. |

in virginia the traffic cam is a 50 dollar fine, no DMV involvement, no insurance involvement, no nothing. they just want your $. and I have gotten two of them so I know what I'm talking about. \ As of July 1, VA no longer has red light cameras. |

Re: YES! I ran the [censored] out of a red light and got busted cold
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I doubt there are lots of kids running around on roads that have traffic lights. Doesn't really matter of course, I just hate that line of reasoning that most people have. If your kids are actively trying to get run over maybe it's better off that way. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Probably because he doesn't have kids. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Or because I just have a different opinion? You said it once and I responded; what was the point of saying it again? I don't believe that children getting run over is a realistic and material concern when thinking about people driving too fast. If you do, it may not be because you have kids but instead because you're irrational. Now please respond to this by quoting your "Probably because he doesn't have kids" post so you can be the first person that I put on ignore. |

Re: YES! I ran the [censored] out of a red light and got busted cold
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Photo tickets are treated like parking tickets since it's impossible to prove who's actually driving the car. You'll have to pay a fine, but it won't show up on your record and you won't hear anything from your insurance company. Don't take it to court and expect to win because there's no proof who was driving the car though. If you say it wasn't you, they'll ask for the name and address of who it was, and given that it's your car they'll expect you to know. I've seen that tried, it doesn't work. [/ QUOTE ] Why wouldn't this work? I lived in an apartment with three other guys and only one of us could have a car at the apartment. The kid who owned the car would let us borrow it and at times he wouldn't know which one of us was driving it. [/ QUOTE ] In that case, the district court judge will just find you guilty and tell you to appeal to circuit court if you don't like it. Since the fine is probably less than $100 and doesn't hurt your record, you won't appeal. |

[ QUOTE ]
I doubt there are lots of kids running around on roads that have traffic lights. Doesn't really matter of course, I just hate that line of reasoning that most people have. [/ QUOTE ] You hate the line of reasoning that says you shouldn't drive unusually fast because you might kill someone? It doesn't have to be a kid you're worried about; children are just the clearest example of why you should drive carefully. Incidentally, there are many, many neighborhoods with narrow streets, traffic lights, and families/children recreating outside. |
