Did I make the right play here?

I don't make eye contact with the woman but I notice there's another guy sitting in the back seat. Again, whatever. I go back to reading.

Anyway, the driver comes back out, gets in the car and pulls away. I notice though, that instead of leaving the parking lot, he turns around and parks behind me again (not blocking me in, just kind of perpendicular to the spot where he was just parked). He rolls down the window and starts yelling something that I can't hear because my windows are up. He looks pissed. I roll down my window to see what he's saying and it's "DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM???" I give him a baffled look and kind of shrug my shoulders at him. He then yells "THEN WHY THE F*** ARE YOU STARING AT US???" I never did anything that could have been considered "staring." I give another baffled look, say "Uh, sorry?" and roll my window back up and turn back to my newspaper. Fortunately he drives away.

Did I handle this correctly or was I a pussy? What would you guys have done? Keep in mind Mr. Testosterone was a good deal bigger than me and looked like he could fight. It just caught me so off guard I didn't even know how to react. I guess if he had gotten out of the car and started coming toward me I would have just peeled out of there. Advice on this type of situation?

you have to be careful who you stand up against.

i was driving on the tollroad in dallas and this guy won't let me in to get to my exit so i said "[censored] em'" and made my way. if he wasn't going to let me in after i tried for a 100 yards with a blinker then he will just have to move the [censored] out of the way.

well i pull into a gas station to fill up and i am in a very nice part of dallas so usually no worries. well this guy had followed me to the gas station. he gets out of his car screaming like a lunatic, i size him up and realize that this is no problem. i get out of my car and say "you got a problem?" he says, "yeah you need to learn how to drive motherfucker!" i say, "i am going to fill up with gas and if you haven't left i am going to break your [censored] jaw, you got that?" he says "ok."

i put the pump in the car and next thing you know it i look over and he's got a [censored]' pistol waved in the air. at this point i say, "you win brotha, i will take the next exit next time." at this point i am probably white and my legs are numb. he yells at me for what feels like an eternity (probably only like 10 seconds) and then gets in his car and drives off.

i sat in that gas station for like 20 minutes that day scared out of my mind.
