Re: Last Keller Card Player Article ?!?
Is folding or calling preflop there really much of a mistake either way?

Re: Last Keller Card Player Article ?!?
With K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] at a six-handed table, Keller definitely should have called the preflop raise. Hitting the king and seeing the hand instantly turn to a heads-up match between he and Fischman (after Fischman's raise scared off the other two callers) should have only caused him to dig-in further. Keller was correct in assuming that he had top pair, top kicker, but unfortunately for him he was also correct in thinking that Fischman was strong (a set of 9's) but went against that. The call on the river, though debatable, seemed at the time to be the right play, although he may have been able to find out he was beat for cheaper if he had bet on the turn instead.
