When this happens to me I see if the board / other hands are to blame, or if I'm overplaying hands (or underplaying). Eg for AK, see if the proportion of flops have an A or a K in, and if this is lower than statistics would suggest, you have part of the answer; or whether when you hit someone else hit bigger (because this is also pretty rare with AKo). Someone else can probably do the math of the probability of someone playing a "normal" hand hitting better on the flop (than AK hitting an A / K).

I haven't got my stats at this PC but they aren't dissimilar from everyone elses (AA about 2.7 BB, KK about 1.7 from memory).

How can you be making more with AKo and AQo than with AKs and AQs?

I guess the variance is so high in shorthanded that even 112K hands doesn't converge well.

The reason is with AKo you get to chase 2 possible flushes at the same time. It's clearly superior.

Party 5/10 6 max, 32k hands

Given my numbers it seems like I need more hands for real convergence in terms of amount won per hand.

AA - 2.21
KK - 2.21
QQ - 2.22
JJ - 1.06
TT - 1.13
99 - 0.61
AKs - 0.78
AKo - 0.92
AQs - 1.51
AQo - 0.79

Pretty obvious 32K hands is not enough of a database when Q,Q is out performing BOTH A,A and K,K.

Or are you being tricky with the top two starters and limping sometimes??
