Re: Wel then...
I think I understand the point you are trying to make.
I am actually a recovered compulsive gambler, though the biological circumstances leading to compulsive gambling have been corrected, so I do not feel in danger. While I have blown a decent bankroll by stepping up too early, I had the good sense to step down before I went broke. I also avoid the "rake" imposed by pit games, bad sports betting, and trophy girlfriends. I admit that had I worse luck, it is possible that I could have gone broke. Anything is possible. But I know I beat the game, and therefore it is far from inevitable. |

Re: Not necessarily true.
[ QUOTE ]
First off, your grammer is horrendous. [/ QUOTE ] changing the subject and focusing on poor grammar shows lack of arguing skills. incorrectly spelling grammar on top of your own complaint about his shows pure stupidity and nullifies any and all of your other comments. |

Re: Down to the felt
If you are giving up law school, a fiancee and your family to play poker professionally, or because you've somehow lost them through your own devices, you will fail, because you fail to appreciate the long term. Dropping out of school to play poker for a living is probably one of the worst choices a person can make in their professional life.

Re: A sad state of affairs
Everyone may go broke with their first few buy-ins, but otherwise this is a completely ridiculous statement. I started playing for serious money online about 2 months ago. I got down about $500 to start my "career," but have since won over $9000 in less than 2 months by playing limits no higher than $1/2. As for the original poster...please don't do this to yourself. NEVER play above a limit you feel comfortable at. The absolute worst thing you can do is to play scared, and when you're above your roll, that is exactly what happens. I agree that you should re-consider, but if you don't--I hope all goes well

Re: A sad state of affairs
Wow... Sounds like one of those trolls who has watched rounders one too many times.
Goodluck if you're serious but I expect this to be the story like the one posted about a month back. The guy lost "20gs when a guy rivered a royal flush" and then lost 500gs when he lost to runner runner quads or some horseshit like like. Casinoexploits [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] |

Re: Down to the felt
To get this somewhat back on topic, while I wouldn't advise what you're doing as something recommended, I do sincerely offer you my best wishes and hope it works out for you.
