What reason is the draft being activated for? Are we being invaded by china? Or some other reason? I believe this would affect many peoples choices. Some would go for CO status or flee the country if it was to attack Iran or something. But if we were being invaded by a large military , I imagine there would be many of those people who would volentier

You wouldn't qualify for a CO as you have no conscience but you may be given a differment based on insanity. If you did make a run for Canada, I would hope the Canadians send you back so you can spend a very long time in Federal "pound me in the ass" prison.

I don't know if I'd qualify as a CO because I'm not opposed to war in general, or even the ideas behind this war. I agree that we should eliminate the Muslim terrorists there.. I just didn't support sending troops over.

There probably will not be a full scale invasion of Iran. However we do need to deal with the Iranian nuclear issue(if we do nothing the isrealies will deal with it). I suspect we we will destroy Irans military from the air. If necessary, we will send in some special forces to destroy Irans nuclear capabilities.

You can't install democracy with bombs. I know you would have rather just anihilated all of them, but like it or not, democracy is the path this country has chosen to deal with the muslim problem.

It may be a very long time before we can hope to install democracy in Iran. Its unfortunate that we are going to have to deal with Irans emerging nuke capabilities in the short run. To accomplish that tactical goal massive airstrikes might be adequate enough.

Yeah, I guess I don't care about "installing" democracy in regions where people don't stand up and demand it for themselves. We're not unwanted refrigerator repairmen. I'm for keeping ourselves safe -- and even supporters of the Iraq War have to admit that it had nothing to do with homeland security (in fact, it has detracted our focus from protecting the homeland).

Yes, of course we must deal with nuclear issues...but letting Israel deal with it doesn't seem horrible to me either. We dealt with Cuba, Mexico (when they wanted their land back), Native Americans (when they wanted their land back). Why not let Israel deal with radical Islamists (who want their land back).

They want it, but not enough that they are willing to die for it, especially if the Americans are willing to die instead. Unfortunately we really weren;t sure how the Iraqis are going to react before hand.

Isreal would not be entirely successful because there are many targets in Iran which are outside Isreal's effective range.

If Iran ever developes effective nuclear weapons and effective ballistic missles they will have no need to covertly sponsor terrorism. They can sponsor it overtly.
