Re: tOSU or Oregon?
For all of those saying OSU will get the bid b/c of $$ signs, you seem to forget the Pac 10 helps bring in those dollars.
Last year Cal was left out, and if you think the Pac-10 will continue to be a part of a system that doesn't take care of them from time to time you are mistaken. There will be incredible pressure to take Oregon and I say its enough to get Oregon the selection. -SC |

Re: tOSU or Oregon?
You think the Pac-10 is going to leave the BCS? And go to what?

Re: tOSU or Oregon?
The problem is, (despite the huge blowout) Cal deserved it last year.
Oregon doesn't. (at least according to Sagarin) |

Re: tOSU or Oregon?
The Pac-10 should just move all their schools to the east coast and replace the Big East.

Re: tOSU or Oregon?
I don't want to get in a senseless argument over semantics. The issue isn't whether or not you like Ohio State it's that you make childish posts saying they are undeserving, they are whiners, they shouldn't get a BCS bid, without a single bit of evidence to back up your claims.
Ohio State is ranked higher in the human polls. They are ranked higher in the computer rankings. They have played a much tougher schedule and didn't lose by over 4 Touchdowns at home like the Ducks did. They also didn't have 2 close wins over mediocre opponents. If you analyze the situation objectively there is no way you could say Oregon is more deserving. The only thing that they have going for them is a better record, against much worse competition. Christ, if we just want to go by records than the Boise State's and Tulane's of college football should go to BCS games when they go undefeated. |

Re: tOSU or Oregon?
[ QUOTE ]
I think OSU is the better team, but Oregon hasn't had any chance to really show itself against equal competition. They've faced SC and a host of inferior teams. Is Notre Dame already in? Because I think the real question is Notre Dame and Oregon, not OSU and Oregon. [/ QUOTE ] Notre Dame is in. The real problem is not Oregon or Ohio State, it's West Virginia getting in as the champion of the Big lEast. |

I think Clark's trying to say that a win over UCLA would look good on their resume.

Re: tOSU or Oregon?
Also, let me just add:
Those saying Oregon is "clearly inferior" to tOSU and ND are ridiculously biased. Oregon barely beat WSU, but do you know what it's like to play in Pullman in the winter? Oregon barely beat Fresno State. Uh... USC was lucky to beat them too. |
