bracelets/starts has meaning but less than total number IMO. Unless you take min sample sizes. Moneymaker is 1-1, Hellmuth, Chan are probably 9 for 300ish, Brunson is probably 9-400ish. If you say min 50 entries or something similar, I think it makes more sense.

Some people on here think John Daly is a lousy golfer, despite the fact that he has won 2 major championships. Ya, he was lucky to play 72 holes of golf, and still be leading after that time.

He's lucky to have more majors than the following people, to the best of my knowledge:
Fred Couples
Davis Love
Phil Mickelson
Paul Azinger
Tom Kite
Colin Montgomerie
Marc Calcavecchia
Jim Furyk
Ian Woosnam
Darren Clarke
Sergio Garcia

to name a few.

Umm, I was joking.

Which is not to say that I do not find his accomplishments admirable.

I'll be careful not to use obvious jokes in the future without brackets or colored lettering or something.

If the guy was well liked, EVERYONE would be all over the fact that he has won so many.....but, since he is an ass, everyone wants to doubt his talent. I dont, but he is still an ass. He is the Bonds of poker. he may be the best, but will never get the credit because of his attitude (atleast he doesnt wear wrist bands with his own picture on them like Bonds use to though)

Im not so sure. Chan is well liked, and you hardly hear about his total.

you put 1000 pros in a basket...someone has to get lucky and win bunch. Just like some pros have way more hole in one's than others even though they hit about the same number of greens and have played the same number of holes.

"He is the Bonds of poker." All I'm gonna say is that if you are comparing Barry's dominance in baseball to Hellmuth's dominance in poker, you are WAY WAY off. If you are comparing attitude's, I hear ya.

Yes, as great as bonds is and as unimpressive as Hellmuth is to me, it's painful to hear them compared.
