I was just chatting with Mike Ward earlier, and there is no chance that the poker room will be given room to expand. It is simply going to be a jammed-up place from now on.

Later, Greg Raymer (FossilMan)

Yeah, if you're staying on 95 until exit 92 you're going the wrong way. The best way to FW from NYC is to go to Mohegan and follow JTG's directions from there. People in Boston make a similar mistake going to Mohegan. The problem is FW won't tell New Yorkers the fastest way and Mohegan won't tell Bostonians the fastest way because the fastest way takes you right past the other casino.

I think if you don't exit at Mohegan Sun Blvd and go over the bridge instead, there are signs you can follow to get to Foxwoods.

You just have to know to make a left at the first light, then a right at the next one. Then the signs guide you. It's a bit more intuitive coming from FW to MS.

This is good news. I haven't been up for maybe 6 months because I generally like to play a little bigger than $10/20, and my experience in the 3 years I have been in CT has been that I couldn't count on anything higher.

So I guess now I'll be making the drive a bit.

My Q45 needs to get on the highway a little more often, anyway.

If you are just looking for bigger than 10/20, the 20/40 game goes 24/7 at Foxwoods. There are usually 2 or 3 tables going on weekdays and more on weekends.

Sorry. Got confused (not a first).

I meant that the only time I have ever seen a $30/60 table has been tournament time. Any other time I call ahead, I have gotten a vague "sometimes the 30/60 goes, but mostly it's just 10/20 and 20/40..." response.

And a fun place to stay. My wife loves to stay in their hotel and shop the stores. She hates the shopping at Foxwoods and does not gamble. I'll never get her to stay at Foxwoods.

I am bummed out about the poker room closing. I played there almost every week for the last two years and prefer is a lot to the poker room at Foxwoods.

Oh well.

Last Friday night there was no 40-80 game going. There were no empty tables to put the game on, and only four people signed up on the interest list.
