I would prefer a larger sample, and of course a more reliable method of data collection.

However, the numbers currently indicate that it is significant with a p-value of 0.045. This gives the indication that something is amiss....

You have a grave misunderstanding of statistics. 30 or 50 or whatever is not even approaching statistically significant.

Ok ... I did statistics for clinical trials as my job for over 5 years.

Do you know what a significance test is?

You cannot generalize what sample size is significant, it depends on the data collected.
