Well, if you're playing 5/10NL, and half your bankroll is on this site, you've probably got a lot in there. That, combined with your play and a good talk with the main investigator should get it straightened out.

Bodog is a good company, and I (along with Sublime) have good faith that they will pull through. You have to admit this situation looks rather bizzare, and honestly I'm kinda glad they took some steps like this. Unless of course they steal you're money, then they can go [censored] themselves.

I'd point out that if this were really an act of deliberate chip dumping:

1) You wouldn't be discussing it in the chat box. You would have worked things out some other way
2) You wouldn't take chances that something could go majorly wrong -- ie, push preflop from UTG with K4o. Not only does K4o have a reasonable chance of defeating your 99, it also has a decent chance of getting called by one of the other players at the table. More efficient chip dumping would be done when the other players are already out of the hand, and the dumper has a hand which is already drawing dead and tries to "bluff" the river, or he simply invests a lot in the pot and then folds.
3) The dumper would not be playing big pots against other players at the table

I would not worry about anything until after their investigation is complete -- if the other player had attempted some type of fraud, it should be completely routine for them to lock up any accounts that won significant money from him until they have figured out what exactly transpired.

FWIW, you are most likely noticing so many bad beats there simply because so many people are willing to do stupid things that put themselves into such positions to make memorable suckouts. I have no doubts regarding the integrity of their product.

I also feel something is wrong with the rng at bodog. Maybe they didn't invest enough or test it properly. It streaks too much and the probabilitie don't seem to work out right.

I haven't seen enough evidence to make a firm decision. I only play in the tournaments and don't have the feel for things a raked game player would have.

Imagine the dumbass in this situation had been playing with money from a stolen credit card. would bodog try to recover the funds from the hero's account, pay it off themselves, or tell the victim/credit card company to go f themselves?

Default Bonus abuse

When I played there I got the bonus immediately and could play with it- just couldn't cash it out before it was cleared. Is it still working this way?

Anyhow I could see one person depositing a huge amount (AFAIK there's no max, and it's 20%) and then losing that PLUS the bonus to his friend on a private heads up table..

Not saying this is the case here, of course, but it could be the cause of the investigations, and some of those strange plays..

Just a thought

Default Results

Got an email from them saying my account had been restored. All is well, though I'm probably going to tone down my play there. Thanks for listening guys.

Glad to hear your account is fine, but...

For the last two weeks I had been skeptical of BODOG to begin with just becuase I had seen some ridiculous play at the tables and wasn't completely sure it was as legit as say Party, certain hands were turned up that it was just like how did people get there, certain action river cards, certain 2 outers, etc, I know these things hit in poker, but they seemed to hit with a higher frequency/for more action at bodog, but I kept my mouth shut cuase I was running red hot and figured I was just being paranoid/figured you would all laugh at me. Now what?

Did anyone else laugh at the fact that a moderator on 2+2 just made an "online poker is rigged" post?

It is not rigged, I realize there are probably 100 ways to run a site/distribute cards, and I just commented that I feel like the card distributor on bodog behaves a little differently than the one on party/stars whatever. It could just be variance, maybe a bunching of monster hands, etc...

I realize the irony...
