Re: What to do on a large pot on the button?
What would I do on the flop? I don't know what I'd have done because I wouldn't have called pre-flop.
What would I do on the turn? I don't know what I'd have done because, even if I'd have called pre-flop, I'd have folded to the raise on the flop. What to do on the river? I don't know what I'd have done because I'd have folded long before that point. OK -- smart ass responses aside -- fold pre-flop, fold on the flop (once you get to that point), check the turn (once you get to that point), check the river (once you get to that point). Let me make it nearly unanimous -- misplayed on every street. |

Re: What to do on a large pot on the button?
You know guys I was actually looking to take some medicine on this one so thank you for your candid comments. I had played the game like a rock but couldn't resist a $64 pot on the flop. The raiser preflop had raised all middle pairs and week aces, and limped AK before so I figured he was on his usual bluff run. As it turns out he had the J7 that won it. But that many chasers did put me in bad position and I was punishing myself pre and post flop. Yes I looked for any reason to stay in not the one valid reason to get out (At least 2 aces in the crew(maybe one high), possibly 1 set, and at least 1 flush draw, to my two runner straight that still may not be the best hand)
Funny how when you have your hand spanked you tend to remeber that lesson a lot longer..... besides I needed a sig |
