I'm guessing this is sarcasm. You should really be trying to pick up players before, not after they peak so you can get the best value for them.

Good guess.

Of course, but in this case he's just sitting there. You're not giving up anything of value to get something that could be huge. Those opportunities don't come along very often. If you sit on that $100, you might get something decent at some point in the year. Most likely you'll get a couple of worthless pickups each week, hoping to catch lightning in a bottle. In the case of Parker, you have probably the best chance you'll have all season. It's a no brainer. Plus, having a player for 15 weeks is a hell of a lot more valuable than finding that hot player in week 10.

You do not want to spend your free agent dollars on a back that is in a 3 man rotation. The Steelers have too much wrapped in Duce not to play him...Bettis is the goal line man...and Willie, well Willie is going to get some sub-duty and 3 down looks...but when Duce is healthy he will get the nod and you'll have wasted money on spotty production. Grab Mike Anderson if he is available...he has a minor rib injury and will be good to go by week 3...Bell did nothing to overtake him Sunday, and he had his chance...He will have a big year. But just don't waste your cash on a one hit wonder...3 backs + one spot = a Fantasy Nightmare.

Looking good. 70 yards in the first half. Big lead means they run the ball in the 2nd half. I figure he gets 100 minimum before they bring in Haynes to close the game.

Whatever. Right now it's one back and one spot. Bettis is ancient and Staley is very cuttable at the end of the year. It's the kid's job. Period.

BTW, right now he's worth late first-mid 2nd round quality.

It appears Fast Willie's job is in jeopardy. Staley seems like he's going to be handed the job soon.

Parker has reportedly lost five pounds since the start of the season. The Post-Gazette surmises that Duce Staley will start by week seven, with FWP being a change-of-pace back. If you can still sell Parker as a top 15 back, go for it.

Since this is a keeper league, this kid is going to become something. They might not hand him the job just yet, but he will be a #1 RB in two years or so. Depending on how many people you keep season to season, I pick this guy up.
