Re: A support out troops thread on this 9/11 anniversary.
Would you want a gay guy fighting by yourside "come on give me cover fire", "no I got to clean the dirt off of my pants first, and fix my hair". Just a little joke to piss off some people and start some controversy

Yeah, I think they told that joke on Flight 94.

Re: A support out troops thread on this 9/11 anniversary.
[ QUOTE ]
Let's leave discussion of the conduct of the war to the many other threads, and just show our appreciation of the courage and willingness of our soldiers to do the work for freedom that needs to be done from time to time. [/ QUOTE ] It saddens me, after reading the thread to this point, that was not possible. Many thanks to those in harms way. |

"to do the work for freedom that needs to be done from time to time."
It's the original poster who, contrary to his stated wishes, has brought up the conduct of the war. |

A little current History Lesson.
Flight 94 was the plane the 3rd plane on 9/11 that crashed, after a revolt from the passengers, and from where the "Let's Roll" expression came from.
The passengers were led, and probably the first to die when they seized the cabin, was a guy who worked out, black belt martial artist. Interviews afterwards with his friends weren't surprised that he attacked the terrorists as he was known to not take any [censored], and had a habit of sticking up for the underdog. The probable target for the plane was the White House, or possible another hit on the Pentagon. Considering the cluster that the defensive response was on 9/11, the plane would have probably hit its target, if it hadn't been stopped by the passengers led by this man. The reason this true American Hero isn't very well known, is because he was as gay as they come. So he could give his life in saving America at a time of crisis, but he could have never been a Boy Scout Master. If I had to choose, I would rather have this faggot in a foxhole with me than some chicken hawk air force national guard no show. |

Re: A little current History Lesson.
That was flight 93.
And neither Todd Beamer nor Jeremy Glick were gay. |

Re: A little current History Lesson.
I knew flight 94 was one of the planes in 9/11 however didn't know the rest of that. Scoot though says it's untrue, even if it was true, it has nothing to do with the current argument.

Thanks for the correction.
Flight 93.
And of course, you know the names of two of the non-gay passengers. Too bad the same respect can't be paid to another hero. American Hero |
