Re: Pocket Aces in Early position.
Raise/cap the turn. Yeah it's a SMALL posibilit you're facinf a four seater, but more than likely villian has high pocket pair two. Get some money out of the hand. Raise/cap the river.

Re: Pocket Aces in Early position.
Yeah, Hero needs to be capping all streets here. The fact villian capped flop does not indicate Aq to me. More times out of a 100 he will be facing high pocket pair. Likely K or J could be possibility. The times he loses to 4 of kind with his Ace/Queen boat will profit more by cashing it in.

Re: Pocket Aces in Early position.
what were you thinking? - "dear God that's a big monster under bed that is gonna eat me alive"
what should you be thinking?- "i'm gonna make that SOB pay for playing this hand. i'm gonna drain him of everything he has"...and break your monitor if he does have the Q flop is fine. cap on down. |

Re: Pocket Aces in Early position.
Err, the flop was only raised, not capped. With the two queens out, it looks like a classic way ahead/way behind scenario until the third Q hits the turn. I think 3-betting or capping this flop is reckless. I like Hero's call on the flop, but he should have come out gunning on the turn. I bet and 3-bet here, and if he caps I lead the river again and call a raise. If I had a read that Villain was aggressive I'd 3-bet the river too.

Re: Pocket Aces in Early position.
Errr... yes, I mean it was capped pre-flop. It should be capped on 4th and 5th street by hero if possible.
