I did a little research here too, and i am not sure if it means anything at all but below is what came up as the registrar for ezspace.com. They are also connected to http://www.ideacontents.com which is the same look as most spyware pages. I would be more concerned with a keystroke virus as granny mentioned. Maybe scan your computer with ad aware to see if anything comes up. The whole ezspace google search seems fishy to me, too many connections to foreign country's etc... Hopefully your bank can find something out. Good luck, hope it works out for you.

had the company provided contact info, then your liability would be much higher. you may have a $50 deductible, but i don't even think you will be responsible for that. the reason you are good to go is because the company will never be able to provide support documentation. as long as it was not done at a point of sale where they swiped your card through a reader and you signed for it, you will be ok

Never use a debit card for online stuff, especially "shady" stuff like online poker.

You're finding out why. Credit Cards you pay behind (you use them, get a service, and pay later). Debit cards you pay "simultaneous". You get the service as the money is removed from your account.

With credit, you can dispute rogue charges without having to pay them. With debit cards, you're always trying to get money back.

Some people get one specific credit card for all online stuff, so it's easier to track and less of a hassle to cancel if it gets hijacked.

I use NeTeller for all my gambling, although I've used Citadel a couple of times when I needed to beat a bonus deadline and didn't have cash in NeTeller.

Regardless, if you have idle funds, get an eWallet of some kind (IGMPay, NeTeller, FirePay, Click2Pay, whatever). If not, get a credit card. The debit card is just a problem waiting to happen (as you found out).

Hopefully you get the $$ back with little hassle and fees, and you can get your account(s) unfrozen.

I could be way off base here, and if I inadverdently send someone hunting something that doesn't exist, I'm sorry...

...but wasn't there a similar thread several months ago about someone seeing charges from this same company? I feel like it was quite a while back though.

Other than the immediate charges, isn't there no diffrenece between a check card and credit card? The check card is backed by visa or mastercard and hence you are at most responsible for 50 bucks(for fraudulant charges). Or am I missing something?

Years ago when I was in school someone stole my bankcard.

The bank lady was all snotty about it, but I did get my account refunded.

Unless I'm very very wrong, that's the law - the bank can't hold you responsible for charges you didn't make.

Under the Electronic Funds Transfer Act, your liability is capped at $50 if you notify your bank within two days of finding out your debit card is missing. Wait more than two days and you could lose as much as $500.

Yikes. It's worse than I thought.

That's really lame.

It's a good reason not to have one of those cards.
