Because he doesn't want to gamble. When you can read Doyle as accurately as Fischman can, you can wait to get your chips in as a big favorite. The AK and K9 laydowns were just setting the old man up, you watch.

I can only assume you are joking.

He's an idiot for not raising that turn (K9o on a 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] board). If Doyle comes back over the top with his nothing, then I give Doyle the credit for making a masterful reraise, but just calling is asking to get bluffed out of the pot on the river.

geez I hate Scott more than anyone but Matusow but Fischman's results in some of the lower <10k events WSOP and non WSOP events is stellar. He won the HORSE event and unlike some events you cannot win this event without being one of the best in the world. He hasn't played nearly as many 10k events in his lifetime as some of the others so give him time

The problem people have with Fishman is his cocky attitude. He was actually commenting on how he had Doyle read perfectly. Yet, in the three hands they showed, Fishman

1. Got blown off a slightly better hand pre-flop
2. Folded the winner on the river
3. Went all-in with a badly dominated hand and got knocked out of the tournament.

You can't act like you've got your opponent perfectly read and the make one bad play after another without looking like a fool.

Eh... I think it was just Fischman trying to build up his confidence and get a read. In the three hands we saw, the master, Doyle Brunson made the youngest winner of a WSOP bracelet look like a fool. Give credit to Brunson, but Fischman's a pretty good player, and he'll be back.

Default My new favorite quote

From unknown player to Scott Fischman, "So, when is your book coming out?"

Is it possible that the old man Doyle may know a couple of things the kid doesn't?

Good luck all,

Fitz
