Call for the floor immediately. They should reconstruct the action for the entire hand and make sure you are given the proper amount of chips from your opponents stack.

Absolutely. DO NOT RELEASE YOUR CARDS until you've been awarded the pot or the floorperson tells you sorry you're out of luck (in which case you ask for HIS superior).

If for some reason this pot still goes to your opponent, I recommend you figure out the total amount in the pot and just not tip this dealer until it's been made up.

If this casino's dealers pool tips, then just don't tip anybody.

Be sure to complain to the management, too. If you're lucky you can get the dealer fired. [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

As a preventive measure, it can also help to announce your hand when you show your cards. If you have a flush, say "Flush".

If the dealer verbally declared the 2-pair, STOP the action right there and declare your flush. If he goes to muck your cards without a verbal declaration, STOP the action right there and declare your flush. Protecting your hand means more than just protecting your cards.

And it happens often enough in the lower end casinos, that every1 should to make it a habit....
In Vegas, not enough good dealers...... the lower class rooms wind up schooling new dealers all the time, only to lose the good ones quickly to better paying upscales ones....

I had some close calls recently, basically the dealers usually ONLY keep the winning hand face up, I think they are marking it for the cameras... watch carefully next time you play, the rule of that casino will be obvious once you see the same actions from a few dealers...

I'm making it a habit of calling my hand out when I flip over my cards, and reading the board for the dealer, it's also an attempt to speed action along.... and sometimes just to keep my head STILL in the game if I am getting a little tired, but the game is too good to leave, yet....

The worst dealers I have had have been at The Horseshoe and Sahara, all these newly opened card rooms must be a horror show of errors.... Golden Nugget is prime example.... Sahara doesn't have that excuse....

How bad at Sahara? One lady came from another table, and immediately complained to US about her lousy tips at the other table... [El stupido] Sahara is seedy and keeping dealers at work too long is not good either, imagine dealing for 10 hours.... Pretty much everytime I have played there dealers have been kept over... usually dealing in their 7pm tournaments too and mucking that up,
which AL here got the shaft the other night when they didn't balance the final 3 tables properly and he got unfairly screwed on the blinds for 20 mins... had 7, 7, and 11! players at the 3 tables....

The Sahara is good place to stay though for cheap rooms, it gets my vote for next hotel that should be torn down and replaced.....

This is usually directly followed by an invasion of France whose people will inevitibly crumble at the mere declaration of another entity's supremacy over their lands. Machiavelli and Tupac taught us to be swift and ruthless. Go with this. Politely redeclare your hand(be polite at first in case YOU misread it...) and then on the second time cut off the dealers finger, kill the man directly to the left of you (for no reason other than to show you mean business), demand that their wives pay you homage, and rake in the pot.

Well, that first part about double checking that you aren't wrong is good advice at least. Also, I think I need to lay off the double cappucino's before bed.

At alot of the casinos I play at the dealer takes your hand and puts it a little up and to the side of the board, I guess so everyone can see it? They then take someone elses hand and put it close and if it's not as good of a hand, they muck it. Then they take the next guy's hand and so on.

When it's their policy to take the hand from you, what can you do then? (besides jumping across the table and grabbing the dealer's arm?)
