Default Re: 2 Pair - Slow Play or Raise

I did raise it - but then thought about it afterwards when they all folded. Seems easy raise in hindsight.

Thanks

Don't slowplay two pair. But more importantly, don't slowplay two pair when you might run into overcards. Don't you know that they have 9-out redraws against you if they catch a pair on the turn?

I raise. Tempting to slowplay, but a small two-pair isn't quite powerful enough for me to do so. Most of the players who will fold for two will also fold for one on this board.

1) call and give everyone else odds to call with their draws, adding 6 SB (1 for 4) to the pot with 5 opponents
2) raise, everyone correctly folds their draws and MP2 calls, adding 4 SB (2 for 2) to the pot heads up
3) raise, one player cold calls 2, MP2 calls, adding 6 SB (2 for 4) to the pot against 3 players.
4) raise, two players cold call 2, MP2 calls, adding 8 SB (2 for 6) to pot against 4 players

If only 1 player calls, you have eliminated two opponents at the cost of an extra bet but are still getting the same number of bets added to the pot. Seems like a good deal when you likely have the best hand. If more opponents call you are getting even more bets put into the pot making it okay to draw to the house if you are behind?

Plus, if MP2 three bets it can help define his hand (set, 2-pair, over pair)
