Compuiter Spyware Help Needed PLease

Hi,
An item called "Searchbar" has turned up on my cumputer as well as a program called Second Thought. My computers been hijacked by popups, my homepage has been changed this is crazy. So far Spybot has not been able to remove this [censored]....what do I do...HELP PLEASE!

It's not a horrable Trojan - Norton would have caught it IF you had updated recently.

One thing to do is change your home page BACK.

I had the same problem. Spybot and Adaware did not remove this trojan virus. I spent several hours but think I finally removed it. Click on the following link and run cwshredder and have it fix anything it finds: cwshredder. I then went to Microsoft and downloaded all updates. Run at your own risk but it worked for me. I hope this helps.

Just want to second the adaware solution. I also had the "My Search Bar," tried for two months to remove it, etc. Finally, two different people recommended adaware. It works. lebowski

Unreal. They literally hijack your computer. What an invasion of privacy and a total pain in the ass too.

Download and run Ad Aware first. Remember to run the auto update to get the latest reference files. Then clean the rest up with Hijack This.
