Stars vs. Party
I am looking for a response from someone who has played a lot of similar buyin amounts on Party and Stars. It seems that the payout structure of Stars 3/9 vs Party's 3/10 should offer less variance since a player should finish ITM more often. I guess I was looking for some evidence that could confirm this fact. I imagine a person would need about 1000 of each SNG to make such a determination and even that might not be enough. But even if Stars offered slightly less variance, it might be better to play them for the working poker player since the lengthy downswings would be slightly less likely.

Re: Stars vs. Party
I dont have stats, but having played 1000+ 55s at both sites I am pretty sure stars have less variance. How much? About 18,2 percent less...

Re: Stars vs. Party
I figured that extra 3% itm would help somewhat.

Re: Stars vs. Party
It's probably also worth noting that at low buyins, Turbos have less rake than comparably priced Party games - $15+1, $25+2 instead of $10+1, $20+2.

Re: Stars vs. Party
I like the turbos on Stars. The regulars take way too long even though they probally have less variance. Your ITM is gonna be higher on Stars cause of there being one less player. I played like 700 $6.50s with a 30% ROI by just pushing a TON pretty easy to crush. Ive only played like 20 $16's so I dont know about those.
